Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

One hour journey from NC Gardens. It is famous due to arrival of first Portuguese traveller, Vasco De Gama in 1498. A very serene beach with calm waters to wade in and rock formations to climb up

Thousands of migrating birds from all over the world and varieties of native birds nestle here during season starting from November. The sanctuary is located across a cluster of scenic little islands at the mouth of the River Kadalundi.

Only half 'n hour journey from NC Gardens. Beypore Port is famous for its boat building yard where mammoth country sailing vessels known as "URU" are being built. It is a major fishing harbour of Kerala. There are two man made extensions to the sea to facilitate easy access for fishing boats. This is an ideal location for a picnic outing.
